Troy Keaton

Troy, his wife Janel, and their 4 children came to EastLake as the founding pastor in 2005. Much has changed over the course of the past several years. And Trever is finishing up his sophomore year at SMLCA.

One thing has remained the same for Pastor Troy and his family. They are passionate about knowing God and doing something significant in the kingdom.

14Youth Pastor and SMLCA School Administrator
Lincoln Bryan

Lincoln has been a part of our staff from the beginning. After serving on the student ministry team at our parent church, Parkway House of Prayer, he felt God lead him to help plant ELCC as our youth pastor.

He and his wife, Lynn, have two children, Keith and Kelsea, a daughter-in-law (who happens to be Pastor Troy’s oldest daughter, Natalie), and are also grandparents to Carson and Charlotte. They both are on our team at Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy (SMLCA), Lincoln serving as school administrator and Lynn as first grade teacher.

Lincoln enjoys hunting and fishing, but most of all he loves working with young people. And he is doing an incredible job leading our children and teens towards Jesus.

Aaron Wetherald

Aaron came to Eastlake in 2013 as part of the first APP team and joined the staff in 2014. He and his wife, Gretchen, are the proud parents of Grant, Madison, and Jack

Since graduating from college in 2007 Aaron has been an assistant pastor and school teacher. He enjoys playing and listening to music (even some Southern Gospel), working on cars and painting.

His sports loyalties are split between Ohio (Buckeyes and Reds) and North Carolina (Tarheels and Panthers). Some of his friends think he is just a fan of whoever is winning.

From a young age Aaron felt God’s will on his life to ministry. His passion is to see unsaved people brought to Christ through an effective family of believers.
Church Planting Resident – Technical Director
Nathan Gumbiner

Nathan Gumbiner is the Church Planting Resident at EastLake Community Church in Moneta, VA. In 2007, while still in seminary, God placed a call on his life to plant a church. While unsure of what all that meant Nathan continued to follow God’s plan for his life.

Nathan graduated from God’s Bible School & College, in Cincinnati, OH, in 2010 with degrees in both Bible and Theology and Music. Nathan is now working on his Masters degree from GBS as well. Nathan was a youth pastor in Cincinnati, OH for almost four years before joining the staff at EastLake Community Church in 2013.

Nathan and his wife, Allyson, who happens to be Pastor Troy’s daughter, were recently married and are now assembling a church plant team and plan to plant in Dallas, TX in the first half of 2019. They feel God has called them to this city, and no, they are not Cowboys fans.

Growing up in Northwest Indiana, Nathan loves all Chicago sports, except the Cubs, and he is a huge Notre Dame fan. He loves playing multiple instruments, singing, and is a lover of all things Apple.
